This Privacy Policy explains how Landworks Business Law ("Landworks," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit landworkslaw.com (the "Site") and when you contact us through it. By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

The Site is primarily informational and does not require you to register or create an account. We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it, principally through our contact form. That information consists of:

• Name — and, optionally, the organization you represent.
• Email address — so we can reply to you.
• The message and any details you include in your inquiry, including the area of interest you select.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through the Site, and we ask that you not include confidential or highly sensitive details in an initial inquiry.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit solely to respond to your consultation request, to communicate with you about your inquiry, and to evaluate whether and how we may assist you. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal basis for processing

We process the information you provide on the basis of your consent, given when you voluntarily submit the contact form, and on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and managing client relationships. Where you become a client, processing is also carried out to perform our engagement and to comply with our professional and legal obligations.

Retention

We keep inquiry information only for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping, conflict-checking, and to comply with applicable professional and legal obligations. When the information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Third parties and processors

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Site:

• Hosting: the Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses as part of delivering and securing the Site.
• Analytics: we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool that collects aggregated, anonymized usage statistics. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not otherwise share your information with third parties except where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies

The Site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics provider is cookieless, and any cookies that may be set are strictly necessary for the Site to function and for security.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Costa Rica data-protection law

Landworks operates in Costa Rica. Our handling of personal data is governed by Costa Rica's Law No. 8968 on the Protection of the Person Against the Processing of Their Personal Data (Ley N.° 8968) and is overseen by the Agency for the Protection of Data of the Inhabitants (PRODHAB). Under that law you have rights of access, rectification, and deletion of your data, and you may file a complaint with PRODHAB.

International visitors (US / EU)

The Site is accessible internationally, and information you submit will generally be processed in Costa Rica. If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, or another jurisdiction, your local data-protection laws (such as the GDPR or applicable U.S. state privacy laws) may afford you additional rights. We aim to honor reasonable requests consistent with those laws; contact us to learn more about how we handle your information.

No attorney-client relationship

Submitting information through this Site, or contacting us by email, does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only after we have completed our conflict-check process and both parties have signed a written engagement agreement. Please do not send confidential information until such a relationship has been established.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
